Sector Research Partnership

The Sector Research Partnership (SRP) is

  • A unique, sector-wide Research Collaboration across organisations providing services to vulnerable children and families
  • Auspiced by the Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare:
  • Unites research and evaluation expertise across the Child and Family Services sector
  • Enhances and supports research capacity across all organisations
  • Promotes cross-sector research initiatives aimed at addressing the complexity of vulnerability and improving the lives of children, young people and their families

History & Achievements

  • Established through 8 years of working together to unite research capacity across the sector
  • Originally, a four-way arrangement between The Alfred Felton Trust, The Centre for Excellence in Child and Family Welfare, the University of Melbourne and a collaboration of Child Youth and Family Services organisations

Over eight years:

  • $4.8 million of research funding through ARC and NHMRC grants, government tenders and philanthropic funding
  • Research projects including:
  • Sector priorities and needs
  • Research translation and dissemination
