Rachael Gemmil, Victorian Early Childhood Teacher of the Year 2023.
Rachael will discuss collaboration with community and explore ways allied services such as child and Family Services can work with early childhood educators to support children with increased vulnerability. With a Masters of Inclusion, Rachael is committed to ensure all children are provided with a quality education regardless of their support needs and was recognised for her efforts winning the Victorian Early Childhood Teacher of the Year in 2023!

Sigi Hyett, Chief Executive Officer, Northern Schools Early Years Cluster Inc.
Sigi will introduce this partnership formed between schools and community in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, in areas predominantly populated by families experiencing disadvantage. NSEYC supports a growing multicultural population and focus on supporting children to develop a strong sense of belonging at the start of their education journey. The cluster works intentionally and collaboratively to support school readiness within their community. NSEYC was recently awarded for outstanding efforts to increase at-risk children’s access to and participation in early learning.
