Network Forums
The Centre’s Network Forums provide members with the chance to raise, discuss and progress strategic and long-term issues for a sustainable child and family services sector. The networks cover a range of topics and are targeted at different workers within and across the sector, concentrating on specific fields of work.
Quality Learning Circle Network
The Quality Learning Circle provides an opportunity for community service organisation staff involved in quality, compliance and business administration and representatives from DFFH to:
- Come together and hear about what is happening in a constantly changing sector
- Engage in conversation with DFFH around quality and compliance
- Listen to presentations on a range of topics and contribute to discussion
- Network with colleagues
- Provide updates and share information arising from the DFFH Quality Reference Group
- Engage in strategic discussion around the role of compliance in the sector
- Identify opportunities for information and resource sharing around quality and compliance
Rainbow Tick Network
The group provides an opportunity for community service organisation staff involved in preparing for meeting the expectations of accreditation for Rainbow Tick organisations.
- Come together and share ideas and resources
- Engage in conversation around compliance and addressing culture change
- Network with colleagues for peer support
- Provide updates and continue to work toward embedding inclusivity policies and culture into mainstream service
Foster Care Network
If you are currently working in an organisation that delivers foster care programs, a service that supports the delivery of foster care, such as therapeutic services, or an academic involved in foster care related research and interested in coming together with your peers and representatives from DHHS and the Foster Care Association of Victoria (FCAV), this network will give you the opportunity to:
- Come together and hear about what is happening in a constantly changing sector
- Share experiences, good practice and innovation in foster care
- Engage with DHHS and discuss service provision
- Hear information and updates on the Fostering Connections project
- Listen to presentations on a range of topics and contribute to discussion
- Network with colleagues
- Hear the voice of carers through representation from the peak body

Leaving Care & Post Care Network
If you work with young people who are preparing to leave care or have left care, these forums offer you the opportunity to:

- Network with colleagues

The Centre’s Child FIRST/IFS network is open to all organisations delivering related programs in Victoria and Tasmania and provides an opportunity to:

- Engage with DFFH
- Listen to presentations on a range of topics and contribute to discussion
- Network with colleagues
- Become involved in initiatives to advocate around family services

If you are currently working in an organisation that delivers kinship care programs, a service that supports the delivery of kinship care, such as therapeutic services, or an academic involved in kinship care related research and interested in coming together with your peers and representatives from DFFH and Kinship Care Victoria (KCV), this network will give you the opportunity to:
- Come together and hear about what is happening in a constantly changing sector
- Share experiences, good practice and innovation in kinship care
- Engage with DFFH Kinship Engagement Managers to discuss local area service provision
- Listen to presentations on a range of topics and contribute to an agreed process for priority of themes.
- Network with colleagues and key stakeholders
- Become involved in initiatives to advocate around kinship care
- Hear the voice of carers through representation from the peak body

Placement Prevention & Reunification Network
If you work with children, young people and families where the focus is on preventing entry to out of home care or post care, these forums offer you the opportunity :
