The 18th Biennial International Foster Care Conference “Tell Someone Who Cares” will take place in Sydney, Australia.
The Conference dates are November 8-11, 2015. The 2015 International Conference will provide an opportunity to showcase foster, kinship & relative care in a National Australian context and international keynote speakers will present the important, innovative work being undertaken in other parts of the world.
The NSW Karitane/Connecting Carers Conference will be run in conjunction with the international meeting. Both events will celebrate the important work that Foster, Kinship and Relative Carers do, not only across the state of NSW, but across all states of Australia and world-wide. The joint conference aims to pursue one collective motivation: To celebrate the work of foster, kinship & relative carers across the world and to empower the carers to continue their support of some of the world's most vulnerable children and young people in the care system.
The meeting has been planned as a three-day event with Wednesday afternoon and the Thursday as the ‘free time’ periods. Delegates will be offered optional planned activities allowing them to choose an extension to their visit and to make the most out of their time in Sydney.
