Child protection dispute talks lead update

The dispute between child protection workers and the Victorian Government again leads our media update. Legal action over past abuse in care, lack of support for children of prisoners, a contentious DHS compensation offer over a 2005 teenager’s death, a recent case of a girl abused while in State care, and a new book on leaving care also feature.

Child protection industrial dispute leads update

The dispute between child protection workers and the Victorian Government features in this update. Community services minister Mary Wooldridge will appear on ABC 7.30 Victoria tonight to discuss the dispute. Those who miss the broadcast can catch up at the program website, on ABC News 24 (Saturday, 11.30am) or on ABC 1 (Sunday, 1.00pm)
