Who Can Apply?

The BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management is perfect for those who have recently entered a leadership or team management role and are contributing to organisational strategies, as well as emerging and aspiring leaders and managers seeking to advance their careers within the dynamic child, youth, or family services sectors.

No prerequisites are required.

Participants are required to register and attend an online information session before enrolling in the course.

Course Structure and Delivery

The BSB50420 Diploma of Leadership and Management consists of 12 units of competencies delivered over 12 full-day training sessions spanning 18 months.

Sessions are spaced six weeks apart and conducted via remote learning on Microsoft Teams. This flexible format allows you to integrate learning directly into your work environment and apply new knowledge and skills in real-time.

  • The development and use of emotional intelligence to increase self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management in the workplace.
  • Lead and manage effective workplace relationships.
  • Develop and monitor the implementation of the operational plan to provide efficient and effective workplace practices within the organisation’s productivity and profitability plans.
  • Lead teams in the workplace and to actively engage with the management of the organisation.
  • Undertake financial management within a work team in an organisation.
  • Present and negotiate persuasively, lead and participate in meetings and make presentations to customers, clients and others.
  • Manage the performance of staff who are direct reports.
  • Lead and manage continuous improvement systems and processes.
  • Manage business risk.
  • Create systems and processes to organise information and prioritise tasks.
  • Manage organisational systems that ensure products and services are delivered and maintained to standards agreed by the organisation.

Units of Competency

Our comprehensive curriculum includes core and elective units carefully selected to meet the needs of leaders in the child, youth, and family services sectors.

Units cover critical areas such as emotional intelligence development, operational planning, team management, communication, and more.

Assessment and Support

Assessment tasks are varied and include written assignments, practical assessments, portfolios, and more. Our Learning Management System (LMS) facilitates easy submission and feedback. Participants receive support from our experienced trainers and assessors throughout the program.

Course Fees and Registration

Centre members rate: $4,800.00

Non-members rate: $5,700.00

The course fee covers course resources, registration, assessment, and participant support. Fees will be collected via a three-stage payment plan.
