The Centre
As the peak body in child and family services across
Tasmania and Victoria, The Centre for Excellence in Child
and Family Welfare (the Centre) proudly represents over 150
organisations, spanning community service organisations
from proactive prevention and early intervention to the critical
provision of out-of-home care.
For over 100 years, we have advocated for the rights and
wellbeing of children, young people, and families, ensuring their
right to be heard, to be safe, to access education, and to remain
connected to family, community, and culture.
Welcome to our Tasmania Members!
The Centre has been welcomed as the peak body for child and family services in Tasmania following a merger earlier this year. Learn more about our inaugural Connecting Tasmanian Communities Tour and other updates for members here.
Our vision is for all children, young people and families across Tasmania and Victoria to be safe, happy and connected, with access to support when they need it.
